Taylorcraft 19

I retrieved my crashed Taylorcraft model BC12D plane from the Yukon in 1972. The details are documented in 1971 Alaska III.

Rest area stop on the way back from Wisconsin on July 4th weekend in 1972 with a Taylorcraft wing on the roof of my 1969 Toyota Corona. Teenage neighbor, Neil Anderson [sitting], came along with me.

After getting settled down in Maine, I realized if I was going to take up flying again, I would have build myself an airplane, and even though my Taylorcraft was a total loss, building an airplane out of that was better than starting with nothing, so I set about restoring it as a model 19. The repair sequence follows.
